Paul and the Uchi team did a marvelous job with our extension and internal remodelling of our 1920's property and i'd highly recommend them. Paul's designs hugely elevated what we would have otherwise done including moving the stairs, having a double height entrance, adding a kitchen bar with bi-fold windows, and making a fantastic flow through the house. I've only really appreciated how expert his designs were once we're living in it, and getting compliments on other things which weren't even part of our brief (e.g. ceiling heights, change of window positions for better vistas etc), but so glad someone was thinking about these bits as they make the house. Bravo Paul!

UCHI provides a great service and exquisite designs. They really made us think about how we could best live in our house, use the space and what we would like the house to look and feel like. They provided beautiful designs and ideas. In addition they provided design advice for the interiors and have continued to provide help and support after the project finished. We highly recommend Paul and his team at Uchi. The plans for our extension are wonderfully responsive to our needs. Paul is design-led (but in a very practical way!) He has been quick to act on any changes and fine-tuning we required. He provided a thorough set of plans; greatly appreciated by us and also the builders who quoted.
He has been particularly understanding of the needs and stresses of family life in arranging meetings and making adjustments to the designs.

Paul and his team at UCHI were recommended to us and we quickly knew their ethos about creating the right space for the way we wanted to live was on the same level. UCHI came up with ideas that others did not and created a design (that we changed several times without any issue) that fitted the bill, all through proper collaboration. When we started the build and came across a significant hurdle, Paul was down at the site the same morning working on solutions to the problem. Needless to say we now have the space we wanted, with the cool architectural touches that UCHI brought.
We will be engaging UCHI again and fully recommend them.

We were very happy with Paul and the work that he did for us. Paul was our second architect and we were very grateful to him and his service. He understood our brief and requirements well and took time to go to the planners to understand completely what was possible in our area which has quite difficult planning regulations.
The end result is spectacular and after living in the house for over two months now we don't have one regret in terms of the design or finished product. Also, due to the time he took with the planners all the things that we were told were not possible in the area were approved without any problems.
We have only received positive comments from neighbours and friends and very happy with a house that is large enough now for the children as they grow without having to move.

We would consider ourselves to be both discerning and demanding clients. We are very meticulous and have high standards of both design and finishing. Our house is full of architecture books and we spend way too much time and money on our house compared to most people. So when we met Paul it was like meeting a like-mind. UCHI architecture worked with us to create the best possible use of space in our extension project. Tripling in size the ground floor square footage and adding a 4th (master) bedroom on the 1st floor this was both a technically and financially challenging project. We are delighted with the results.

I cannot recommend Uchi Architecture enough. As a structural engineer my work needs to be very focused & accurate, & I appreciate the quality & clarity of Uchi drawings. In taking-down loads you have to visualise in three dimensions which is not always an easy task. However the perspectives & 'cut-away' drawings that Uchi produce for their clients are of astonishing reality and make this process much simpler & accurate.
Also communication is of great importance & Paul & his team have very fast response times, meaning that queries & issues do not slow down the design time-line. All-in-all a highly competent & professional Architecture company that I would not hesitate to recommend to Clients & professionals alike10/10.

Our experience of working with Uchi Architecture has been excellent. We wanted an architect who had a genuine interest in creating domestic spaces with an understanding of what our family needed now and for the future in a long term home. As well as listen and ask insightful questions Paul had an intuitive sense of what would work well for us. He created a number of options for us to consider and most importantly was mindful of our budget.
In retrospect we would have had him project manage the build, which was an option at the time that we did not take up. Even so Paul did keep an eye on the development and we are thoroughly pleased with the result.
